Why Is It Important To Prioritise Foot Health?
Your feet carry you through every step of life, and yet all too often they are deemed unimportant; until they start to hurt! By making the time to take care of them, you not only ease your discomfort; you prevent deterioration and the onset of additional issues
Healthy feet means comfort in your daily life, greater freedom and the confidence to do what ever you love to do … sports, dancing, shopping or just walking the dog … strong, well cared for feet will help you stay active and maintain your independence.
But regular foot care isn’t just for foot problems; it’s vital for the prevention of many issues. Painful corns, thickened problematic nails, and even minor discomforts, can gradually affect the way you walk, leading to strain in the ankles, knees, hips, spine and even your neck.
Regular professional treatments, and daily care at home, can make a lasting difference to your posture & joints, preventing pain and anxiety.
Prevention is always better than cure and your wellbeing starts from the feet up.
Now let’s uncover why Self-Care is actually Health Care
It’s easy to think of self-care as a luxury, but foot health treatments, facial massages, and reflexology are not indulgences; they are all different ways of caring for your whole self.
Your face and your feet, mirror your overall health and when tension, or discomfort, builds in the body, it often presents itself in both.
Facial Massage – Relax, Revive & Reconnect
A Medi-Bliss Facial Massage goes beyond a beauty treatment — it’s a deeply restorative, multi-sensory experience not to be missed.
The various sequences, of targeted techniques, help to release tension held in the face, neck, and shoulders, to relieve pressure, improve blood & lymph circulation, boost skin tone & radiance, and release stress. Each session is designed to promote deep relaxation, as you experience a combination of aromatherapy & sensory textures, to leave you peacefully relaxed and grounded.
Reflexology – Healing from within
Reflexology works on the principle that areas of the feet (Reflex Points) correspond, through the Nervous System, to different parts of the body.
By applying various levels pressure to these points, reflexology helps to restore the natural energy flow, that connects your internal systems, and promotes natural healing.
Many clients find it reduces the problematic symptoms of ongoing medical conditions, relieves stress, supports sleep, and enhances their overall mental health.
Holistic therapies bring soothing harmony to both the physical body and the emotional mind. They are an indication that self-care is simple, peaceful, and profoundly effective. Your physical comfort and emotional wellbeing are deeply connected, so investing in your own wellbeing helps you feel better, live better and positivity influences those around you

Discover what Healthy Feet & Self-Care could do for YOU

My career path has been anything but straight forward and yet every twist and turn has led me to exactly where I’m meant to be.
I began my journey studying Fashion & Textiles in Scotland, and after showcasing my graduation collection, I stepped straight into the clothing industry. But it wasn’t long before I realised that the world of fashion wasn’t for me.
After leaving my job, I spent several years searching for something that truly inspired me. Eventually, I returned to my artistic roots and in 2004 I set up a personalised wedding stationery company.
I poured my heart and soul into that little business; designing new collections each year, attending Wedding Trade Shows, meeting couples, and managing every part of the business as a solo creative. It was full-on, but I loved every minute
Then something wonderful happened: my son was born.
Becoming a mum changed everything, and I made the difficult but necessary decision to close my business so I could devote my time to him. When he started school and I found myself with more time on my hands, I began wondering what I could do that would fit around family life.
One thing I knew for certain though was that it wouldn’t be wedding stationery again.
Around this time, I was helping an elderly grandparent who struggled to care for their own feet. I seemed to be the only family member willing to gently trim their nails, and to my surprise, I found a deep satisfaction in being able to bring them comfort.
Soon, other people began asking if I could take a look at their feet too, and a little spark of possibility began to grow.
In 2014, I returned to education and opened up a nail bar at home offering manicures and pedicures. As my client list grew, I noticed how many people needed podiatry support and I remembered how rewarding it felt to care for my grandparents’ problematic nails.
That was my lightbulb moment. I enrolled in training once again, gained my Foot Health Diploma, and I’ve never looked back.
My passion for providing a personalised, compassionate service has been completely reignited
Today, I continue to expand my knowledge, skills, and services to give my clients the very best care. I firmly believe you never stop learning, and I love being able to share that knowledge with the people I treat.
Alongside foot health, I’m passionate about wellbeing and holistic therapies. I love to meditate, practice yoga, and explore anything that calms the mind and eases tension. Modern life can be stressful, and although we’re all responsible for our own self-care, it’s often the first thing we neglect.
I also believe that our environment has a huge impact on our mental health, which is why I’ve created a peaceful, sensory space at MEDI-BLISS where clients can relax, gain a sense of calm and feel truly cared for.
Outside of work, life is busy with five dogs, a demanding garden and a love of coffee and catch-ups with friends.
One of my favourite things about my job is getting to know the wonderful people who walk through my door; clients often share the most fascinating stories from their past and present.
So now that you know a little bit about me, all that’s really left to say is … I look forward to meeting you in person and supporting you on your foot health and therapeutic journey.
